Privacy and personal data
Border2Go Privacy Policy
We collect only the information reasonably needed to arrange and support a service, explain why it is needed, and take reasonable steps to protect it. This policy applies to the Border2Go website, journey enquiries, quotations, bookings and related customer communications.
Data user and contact details
Border2Go Limited, whose Chinese name is 香港博達行有限公司 (“Border2Go”, “we”, “us” or “our”), is the data user responsible for personal data connected with this website, journey enquiries, quotations, payments, bookings, after-sales support and related customer service. The person responsible for privacy matters is Chuck Chan. The contact telephone number is +852 84035647 and the contact address is 185 Jubilee Street, Central, Hong Kong. Questions about this policy or our handling of personal data may also be sent to info@border2go.com.
Personal data we collect
We may collect your name, email address, preferred reply channel and contact details; journey dates, times, pickup and destination points, stops, flight details, passengers, luggage, waiting or return information; meet-and-greet, child-seat, accessibility or other special requirements; and records of quotations, payments, formal journey confirmations, enquiries, complaints and after-sales support. The Google tag first sends a cookieless consent-state and basic measurement signal with analytics storage denied by default. Analytics storage and other analytics services activate only after the required consent, when the website may record limited technical or usage information. Please do not submit sensitive information that is unnecessary for the journey.
- If you give us information about another passenger, please first ensure that you are authorised to do so and make this policy available to that person.
- Our website form does not ask for passport numbers, full payment-card details or account passwords. If a particular journey legally requires additional documents, we will separately explain the purpose and a suitable way to provide them.
Purposes and required or optional information
We use personal data to review requirements and availability, contact customers, prepare and follow up quotations, receive and verify payments, issue formal journey confirmations, arrange drivers or transport partners, manage journey changes, provide after-sales support, handle enquiries or complaints, protect safety and prevent misuse, and meet accounting, tax, legal and regulatory obligations. Fields marked as required are necessary to handle the enquiry; other fields are voluntary. Without necessary information, we may be unable to quote, confirm or complete the service. We do not sell personal data or use it for direct marketing without the consent required by law.
Disclosures and service providers
We disclose relevant information only where needed to review, arrange or support the service. Recipients may include drivers, transport partners, email delivery and website hosting service providers, payment or professional service providers, and—where required by law, safety or dispute handling—competent authorities, law enforcement, insurers or advisers. We require service providers acting for us to use personal data only for authorised purposes and to apply safeguards proportionate to the risk. Drivers and partners are not given information that is unnecessary for the assignment.
Access, correction and your choices
You may email info@border2go.com to access or correct personal data we hold about you, request deletion of data that is no longer needed where applicable, withdraw analytics consent, or raise a question or complaint about our handling of data. Please provide enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant record; we will not ask for more than is reasonably needed for verification. We respond within the period required by applicable Hong Kong law and charge a fee or refuse a request only where the law permits. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong.
Security, browser storage and overseas processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures proportionate to the nature and risk of the data, including access restrictions, secure connections, data minimisation and service-provider safeguards. The website may store your language preference, necessary privacy choices and—after you consent—the status of analytics tools in your browser. You can change privacy choices or clear browser storage. Website hosting, email delivery, drivers or transport arrangements may involve processing outside Hong Kong; we limit the purpose and amount of data involved and apply reasonable safeguards. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so please contact us promptly if you suspect a data incident.
Policy updates and enquiries
We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal requirements change and will show the version number on this page. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be highlighted on the website or through an appropriate customer channel. An update will not retrospectively reduce rights that customers already have under Hong Kong law. To request a copy, exercise a privacy right or raise a privacy concern, email info@border2go.com.
